Foresight is a skill. We teach it.
Buffalo Signals Laboratory builds foresight capacity across Western New York. Our workshops teach the core methods (signal scanning, scenario planning, and systems thinking) to leaders, organizations, and community members who want to think more clearly about what’s coming.
What We Teach
Our workshops introduce the core methods of foresight practice: how to spot weak signals before they become trends, how to build scenarios that expand your thinking beyond the expected, and how to use systems thinking to understand how change moves through a region. These are tools you can put to work in your organization, your neighborhood, or your sector.
Who We Teach
Our workshops are designed for people who make decisions, shape plans, or care about where Western New York is headed. That includes nonprofit and civic leaders, business owners, planners, educators, community organizers, and anyone who wants to think more clearly about the future.
No prior experience with foresight is required.
